Of Cottages and Cauldrons: A Autumn Anthology is a perfect read for the fall season. Each story has its own plot and range from sweet to spooky. I particularly enjoyed the authors who wrote their stories with both sweet autumn flare and added a hint of fear keeping you on the edge of your seat. The short stories were well written and fit the theme of the anthology.
There was only one story that I didn't feel had anything to do with fall, other than the author describing the autumn air in one sentence. Regardless, it was a pleasant story, and I enjoyed reading it. Some stories seemed like they could have been longer and abruptly stopped. I know that can happen in a anthology, but I felt there could have been more paragraphs to make a few of the stories feel more complete. I wanted to read more, which I don't necessarily think is a bad thing.
I would give this anthology 4 out of 5 stars. While there were a few things I would have done differently, this anthology is worth a read.
