Gripping First Novel in the Anna Goode Series!

Death By Midnight: The Secret Life of Anna Goode, by Nicole Nadeau, is book 1 in the thrilling new series. You won't want to put this one down!

The novel follows teenage genius, Anna Goode. When her parents are kidnapped by her nemesis, he promises their safe return if she follows a series of tasks. Not knowing if her missions will be a success, she will stop at nothing to save her parents and ultimately herself.

This story starts with a bang and leaves you interested page 1. I must applaud the author who does a wonderful job keeping the action moving with each page. I enjoyed learning about Anna and her "inventions". I would have liked to learn more about her, but there was enough description of each character that I could get a sense of their personality. Anna's sidekick, Jake, was a fun character to have along for the ride and I thought the author write him well. The dialogue between the two characters throughout their quests was nicely done.

I would give this novel 4 out of 5 stars. It was a pleasing first book to start a series. Although, I would have liked to know more about the characters in this novel, I have to assume more details about them and their lives are coming in the series. I highly recommend this read to any fan of YA reading. I anxiously await the next book. Kudos to Nicole on this debut!
