An Intoxicating Interlude by Jessica Lauryn is a beautifully written romance story, you won't want to put down. Confession time! I read this story in one night. I was hooked from page 1. It is part of a series, but you can read this novel as a standalone.
This story follows former exotic dancer Dani and mysterious, and obviously sexy, Ryder. They have a past and Dani despises him for what he has done to her. When he offers her the leading role in a play, she faces a decision that could change her life. For better or worse.
This isn't the first novel I have read by the author, and it won't be my last. Just like the others, the author does a brilliant job at captivating readers, and throwing them into a world of romance and mystery. I enjoy how I couldn't predict what would happen next. There are so many twists and turns, it will keep any reader on the edge of your seat.
I would give this story 5 out of 5 stars. If you love reading romance novels with mystery, this is the perfect read for you. Jessica Lauryn has a wonderful selection of other novels. I encourage everyone to check out this novel, and the others she has published.
